Review:

Silvia Drive is one of the few songs that I think was much better in the original shorter version. This song suffers badly from the repitition forced upon it by the extended version.

If you don't get so annoyed with the beginning of the song that you actually make it to the real vocal parts, you might find that it really is a cool song. Once the violins kick in and then the lyrics start, it gets a lot better.

Noria's adorable voice makes this song really enjoyable, though I am sad to say, I had no idea what in the world she was saying until I saw the lyric booklet. Even then, I'm not entirely sure... The whole song is in "english" with some counting in french, but you'd never know it. However, that's not to say I don't like it, in fact, I love the vocals in this song. They're really sweet.

Basically, I like Silvia Drive a lot IF you pare it down. The extended version is too repetitive and takes forever to get into. I took this version and used an audio editor to start the song with the introduction of the violins, and I like it a lot better - I'd give my edited version or the Beatmania version 4 stars. If you have access to the Beatmania version you'll want to skip this one and listen to that instead.

Overall Silvia Drive IS a good song, but this version is in serious need of improvement. Do yourself a favor and find the original Beatmania version or an edit, and I think you'll find the song much more charming as well.
