This version is a little slower, and while I usually like faster things, this works out very well. The instrumentation is probably my favorite part about it, though. It starts off quiet, with just Riyu and a piano, and then gradually adds guitar and then percussion as the first verse goes on. Then strings kick in right at the end of the first verse, in a swirling tune... It really brings a lot to the song. I don't pay much attention to the music part of the original true..., mostly just the vocals, but in this version I listen to everything that's going on.

The vocals here are very well done and the song retains the emotion it originally had. Sometimes the vocals on this one are even better. And of course, the lyrics are unchanged, which is good because they are one of my favorite parts of true....

Overall I can't say anything bad about the 2003 album version of true.... It's a fantastic slow pop song with sad lyrics and a great remix of the music.
